Canon today announced the launch of two new pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras, the CR-N400 and CR-N350, aimed at studios, live event production, houses of worship and corporate or education environments.
The CR-N400 and CR-N350 share a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor and Canon’s DIGIC DV7 image processor delivering 4K at 60 fps and a 20× optical zoom (expandable to 40× Advanced Zoom in Full HD).
Canon positions these models as filling the gap between its existing CR-N300 and CR-N500 PTZ offerings. The CR-N400 is designed for high-end broadcast environments and includes features such as 12G-SDI, Genlock, Timecode support and dual XLR inputs for audio.
By contrast the CR-N350 targets users who stream or record events in hybrid/remote setups, offering HDMI, IP streaming, 3G-SDI and full NDI, SRT, RTMP workflows.
Both cameras bring advanced connectivity including PoE++ (power over ethernet), vertical crop output (for simultaneous landscape + 9:16 vertical feed) and autofocusing technologies with face/eye/head detection — features reflecting the rising demand for multi-format streaming and remote production.
Pricing is estimated at approximately US $5,699 for the CR-N400 and US $3,999 for the CR-N350, with availability expected in late December 2025. While regional pricing in markets outside the U.S. is not yet confirmed, these models signal Canon’s intent to broaden professional video workflows beyond traditional broadcast into corporate, education and live-event streaming ecosystems.
For creators, broadcasters and organizations, these cameras could reduce the number of separate pieces of gear needed for hybrid content production — simplifying setup while offering higher image quality, flexible streaming and remote control options. The move reinforces the trend toward consolidation of professional and remote production tools in an age where content is increasingly multi-platform.
