Zenith Bank Plc has announced the payment of an interim dividend totaling N51.3 billion for the first half of 2025, reinforcing its commitment to rewarding shareholders and maintaining strong investor confidence.

In a statement to the Nigerian Exchange, the tier-one bank said the dividend aligns with its consistent policy of value creation and reflects the strength of its half-year financial performance. Shareholders are set to receive an interim dividend of N1.60 per share, marking another robust payout despite macroeconomic pressures.

According to the bank’s unaudited financial results, profit before tax rose significantly, supported by growth in interest income and digital banking revenue. Zenith Bank also attributed the performance to prudent risk management and operational efficiency across its business segments.

Group Managing Director, Ebenezer Onyeagwu, said the result demonstrates the bank’s resilience and agility in adapting to Nigeria’s evolving financial environment. He added that the focus remains on technology-driven services and customer satisfaction as key growth pillars.

Market analysts see the dividend declaration as a strong signal of the bank’s capacity to sustain profitability and maintain liquidity amid inflationary challenges and currency volatility. Zenith Bank’s disciplined capital management continues to position it as one of the country’s most profitable financial institutions.

Investors have lauded the move as a confidence booster for the Nigerian Exchange, where dividend-paying stocks continue to attract long-term interest. With its consistent payout history, Zenith Bank remains a preferred choice among institutional and retail investors seeking stability and returns.

The dividend payment date and qualification details are expected to be announced following regulatory approval. This will further consolidate the bank’s standing as a benchmark for shareholder rewards in the Nigerian banking industry.
